Recently, we took a trip up to Cleveland, Tennessee, to visit their team, check out their process, and capture some great footage for their new website (stay tuned for that launch, by the way!).
It was a rainy day, but that didn’t stop us from diving into what makes Elite Floor Solutions such a standout in the world of flooring. First Impressions: Meeting the Elite Floor Solutions Team
After a quick flight into Atlanta and a scenic drive to Cleveland, we met up with Ezra and the Elite Floor Solutions team. First stop? A commercial project at Hearts and Home—a great local business that had some seriously outdated carpet in need of a makeover.
Ezra explained that the carpet was tough to clean, and it just wasn’t holding up under all the foot traffic. So, the team stepped in, pulled out the carpet, and began prepping the concrete underneath for a major transformation. Watching them work gave us a real sense of how thorough their process is, and it’s clear they don’t cut corners when it comes to quality.
Learning the Flooring Process
The flooring process starts with grinding the concrete, which creates the perfect surface for the new coating to bond to. Ezra and his team then apply a moisture vapor barrier (MVB) to prevent any future moisture issues. This layer is key, especially in commercial spaces where high traffic and spills are common.
Next comes the fun part: the polyurea flake coating. This stuff not only looks great but also adds serious durability. Once it’s applied and cured, the final step is a clear coat that includes an anti-slip agent. The result? A floor that’s stylish, safe, and built to last.
It was awesome to see how smooth the process was, even with challenges like uneven floors and tight corners. The Elite team handled it all like pros.
Other Projects We Filmed: Pool Decks and More
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting a residential pool deck where Elite Floor Solutions had done some incredible work. The homeowner had previously hired another company, but she wasn’t satisfied with the results. In fact, she didn’t even feel safe letting her son’s friends use the pool because she was worried about slips and falls.
Ezra and his team came in, applied their anti-slip coating, and totally transformed the space. Now, the homeowner feels safe and confident that her pool deck is as secure as it is stylish. It was great hearing how happy she was with the results, and it’s just one more reason why we love working with Elite Floor Solutions.
